Describe oral health behaviors and analyze their relationship with the sense of coherence (SOC) in first-year students of the Degree in Nursing at the University of Jaén, Spain. Method: descriptive cross-sectional study. Non-probability sampling for convenience. Sociodemographic variables, SOC and oral health behaviors were collected. Descriptive, bivariate and multivariate analysis (logistic regression) were performed. Results: The oral health behaviors most present in the sample were adequate tooth brushing and the absence of smoking. A high SOC could be a protective factor against inappropriate behavior regarding tooth brushing, flossing, consumption of sugary foods, attending the dentist and cigarette consumption, with an OR lower than 1 in all cases, without statistically significant associations. Conclusion: The results support the available evidence on the positive relationship between SOC and appropriate oral health behaviors in young people.
