Abstract

The objective of the work is to develop a procedure for automatically obtaining spiral-shaped casting strategies by means of circular interpolations. The result has been a Mathematica function that, for a given casting contour, determines an appropriate number of offset curves for the problem, combines these curves by means of Archimedean spirals, and generates the CNC code for machining. In addition to the implementation of the function, a machining test has been carried out following the generated strategy.
