Abstract

Additive manufacturing is a relatively recent technology that is constantly growing. The possibility of obtaining parts with complex geometry has favored its integration in more and more sectors within the world of technology. Specifically, in the medical sector, dimensional precision and the need for individualized components has made additive manufacturing a main pillar that contributes to the advancement of different specialties within it. Being able to predict the behavior of these components is essential to determine whether they are suitable depending on the purpose for which they are intended. The objective of this Final Degree Project will be to model the behavior of some of the materials for additive manufacturing that are used in this sector, called biocompatible. For this purpose, the parameters that characterize their resistance will be analyzed, which will be obtained through the mechanical tests defined by the current regulations.
