
Este estudio pretende comparar el grado de satisfacción en el trabajo de Director de la escuela y el maestro. Se evaluaron diferentes aspectos relacionados con la satisfacción en el trabajo, tales como los deberes, autoridad, recursos, desarrollo profesional y el Ambiente institucional. El estudio se realizó en varias escuelas de secundaria situadas en el este de Orlando, Florida. Una muestra de 293 profesores fue seleccionada para participar en el estudio, que representó 52% de la población total de docentes que trabajaban en esa zona. Como resultado del análisis, se plantearon algunas recomendaciones con el fin de mejorar el desarrollo profesional y ambiente institucional. La satisfacción del personal docente promoverá crecimiento en los diferentes aspectos de la educación ya que la satisfacción en el trabajo juega un papel crucial en el rendimiento y la productividad de un individuo dentro de una organización.
This research study aimed to compare the degree of job satisfaction of the school principal and the teacher. We evaluated different aspects related to job satisfaction, such as duties, authority, resources, professional development, and institutional environment. The study was conducted in various secondary schools located in East Orlando, Florida. A sample of 293 teachers was selected to participate in the study, which represented 52% of the total population of teachers who were working in that area. As a result of the analysis, some recommendations were raised for the purpose of improving professional development and institutional environment. The satisfaction of the teaching staff will promote growth in the different aspects of education since job satisfaction plays a crucial role in the performance and productivity of an individual within an organization.
