Abstract

Abstract The result of applying the criteria arising from the Bologna process to the study of law in Spain is but a mere rhetorical discourse which is not able to conceal, nor even change, the serious degrading problems which these studies are undergoing. Bologna is but a pure illusion which will not lead anywhere if the overcrowding problems of our studies are not solved before and if the appropriate profiles of the jurist which must face the challenges of the 21st century are not strictly analysed. All in such process: the alleged convergence of universities, quality controls, changes to the pedagogical methodology or the new plans for law studies, are but pure fictions which shall only worsen our situation. Bologna is not a new opportunity but, rather, a further step in the deterioration in the function of the jurist. Keywords: Bologna Process. Law School.
