Abstract

En la actualidad, IoT (Internet of Things) es uno de los principales conceptos en los que se basan las distintas industrias, gobiernos y empresas para impulsar su evolución e innovación tecnológica en pos de los múltiples beneficios que ofrece a quien hace utilización de ella (clientes, trabajadores y habitantes) en los distintos campos de la salud, transporte, industria, energía, etc. mejorando los procesos, reduciendo costos y tiempos. Dichos beneficios se evidencian en función a los resultados evolutivos, ingresos e impacto en la vida cotidiana de las personas, pero ¿qué es específicamente IoT?, ¿cuáles son los verdaderos beneficios que se obtienen con su adopción? ¿Cómo se deberán afrontar las barreras que actualmente hay sobre el desarrollo e implementación de IoT? Estas, serán algunas de las preguntas que se abordarán en el desarrollo de este trabajo de investigación. Por otro lado, se hará foco sobre IoT como un componente más de los distintos modelos de negocios, y el customer experience, de cara a una evolución estratégica en su adopción.
