Inteligencia cultural en las multinacionales

Abstract

La inteligencia cultural (CQ) es aquella habilidad que tienen los gerentes para resolver conflictos en situaciones transculturales de manera efectiva. En este sentido, es importante que se fomente la CQ con el fin de comprender de manera más eficiente a las personas dentro de la compañía y a sus clientes. Por esta razón, el objetivo principal de la presente investigación es conocer cómo los gerentes de las empresas multinacionales aplican la CQ y pueden adaptarse, entender y aceptar a las diferentes culturas. Esto se desarrolla a través de una metodología, donde se encuestaron y entrevistaron a dos gerentes expatriados que hacen parte de empresas multinacionales, para así medir su inteligencia cultural, sus valores culturales, su adaptación y desempeño. Los resultados más relevantes obtenidos en esta investigación muestran el efecto positivo de la inteligencia cultural y sus dimensiones, en el desempeño y desarrollo de los expatriados. Esto les permite tener éxito profesional en el equipo en el que trabajan y en su empresa, brindando así, una ventaja competitiva y un factor diferenciador como líderes de su organización.
