Transformaciones de vida de las mujeres artesanas Inga de Condagua : el caso de la Asociación Iuiai Wasi, Putumayo.

Abstract

La investigación tiene como objetivo explorar los cambios que ha traído la actividad económica y cultural de las mujeres que conforman la Asociación de Artesanos Iuiai Wasi, una entidad étnica, Inga, ubicada en el departamento del Putumayo (Colombia), en tres niveles: sus relaciones al interior de su familia y con su pareja; sus relaciones con las demás mujeres asociadas; y el significado que tiene para ellas la realización de artesanías. Para encontrar las respuestas, se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa en la que se combinan dos herramientas: observación participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas a una muestra de las asociadas. Los resultados evidencian que efectivamente se han producido cambios importantes, en todos los niveles, los que se podrían resumir en un fortalecimiento del rol de las mujeres asociadas y un mayor nivel de compromiso con la conservación y promoción de su cultura.
