Toma de decisiones en la cadena de abastecimiento de un banco de sangre

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta una aproximación de la cadena de abastecimiento de un banco de sangre, a través de un modelo de dinámica de sistemas. Tanto la recolección como la demanda de unidades de sangre del banco, se modelaron con variables aleatorias a través de datos empíricos del mismo. El análisis se centró en una regla de reposición de inventarios, que comparaba el inventario de seguridad con una demanda esperada, para realizar los despachos a los hospitales. A continuación, se realizó un análisis de sensibilidad donde se varió el porcentaje de seguridad, la política de inventarios y la forma de pronosticar la demanda. El indicador de desempeño del banco de sangre se rige por la relación entre la cantidad de unidades enviadas sobre las demandadas por los hospitales.
