Integrando el comportamiento financiero con las finanzas tradicionales

Abstract

A lo largo de la historia financiera la administración de portafolios ha sido materia del desarrollo de teorías que explican el comportamiento de los mercados y la administración de portafolios. Desde 1950 se empezó a trabajar en el concepto de optimización de la varianza gracias a los aportes del premio Nobel de economía 1990, Harry Markowitz. Para los profesionales de la inversión resultó de gran interés y aceptación trabajar bajo el concepto de fronteras eficientes, en donde encontraban un nivel de riesgo que permitía maximizar las utilidades. A esta teoría se le conoce como la Teoría Moderna de portafolios (Modern Portfolio Theory).
