Erradicar la pobreza extrema y el hambre

Abstract

A pesar de los esfuerzos realizados para reducir la pobreza extrema y el hambre en el mundo, todavía más de 1,000 millones de seres humanos sobreviven con menos de un dólar al día (PNUD, 2010). Esto significa que una persona que logra obtener esta cantidad de dinero al día, tendrá dificultades para acceder a una sana alimentación, recibir atención médica en caso de requerirla, realizar estudios que le permitan mejorar su calidad de vida y así, también obtener créditos para vivienda y conseguir activos que garanticen una vida digna para toda su familia.
