Abstract

The International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) are a topic of great interest at present because are general guidelines that they look for the homologation of the accounting and financial standard that existing in the countries in order to standardize the preparation and presentation of the financial statements. On having carried out the procedures that demand the International Financial Reporting Standard, there are applied diverse concepts of the financial mathematics such as, present value and future value, uniform series, interest rates, net present value, valuation of shares and bonds, between others; there is because of it that it is born the need to create a manual that relates the concepts of the financial mathematics to the topics of the International Standard. This manual includes two sections, in the first one there are studied diverse topics of the financial mathematics and in the second one treat the different procedures that imply the use of the financial mathematics, such as amortized cost, method of the effective rate of interest, fair value, impairment, etc.
