El impacto de factores socio-culturales sobre la actividad emprendedora de los jóvenes en España

Abstract

El XXI Congreso Latinoamericano sobre Espíritu Empresarial, se realizó en la Universidad Icesi los días 6, 7 y 8 de abril de 2011. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es determinar el efecto que algunas variables socioculturales (tales como la autoconfianza en los conocimientos y habilidades emprendedoras, los modelos de referencia y el miedo al fracaso) ejercen sobre la actividad emprendedora de los jóvenes en España. Con tal finalidad se realiza un modelo de regresión logística para eventos extraños, utilizando la base de datos GEM-España de 2009 con una muestra de 24.099 personas. Algunos de los resultados más importantes indican que los jóvenes son más emprendedores que las personas mayores y que además el impacto de determinados factores socio-culturales es diferente en el caso de los jóvenes españoles.
