RESUMEN El presente trabajo se centra en los Repositorios Institucionales (RI) y en especial en el Repositorio Institucional del IPCE (Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España). Se realiza un recorrido por la historia reciente del acceso abierto, las diferentes vías de publicación y los repositorios institucionales, para finalizar con los primeros pasos en la creación del Repositorio Institucional del IPCE. Las primeras reticencias que hubo respecto al acceso abierto se van diluyendo, gracias a las ventajas que este ofrece a nivel mundial para la investigación.
ABSTRACT This paper focuses on Institutional Repositories (IR), especially in the IPCE’s Institutional Repository (Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute). It realizes an overview through the recent history of open access, the different paths of publishing and Institutional Repositories. The first reticences about Open Access are diluted, thanks to the advantages it offers globally for research.
