Abstract

La enfermedad de hígado graso no alcohólico (EHGNA) ha emergido como la causa más importante de enfermedad hepática en el mundo. Diversos estudios, han asociado un elevado consumo de fructosa con alteraciones metabólicas y HGNA, entre otras patologías. Sin embargo, se ha visto que en pacientes que presentan una intolerancia hereditaria a la fructosa, y por lo tanto deben llevar un estricto control de la ingesta de fructosa, presentan HGNA, asociada o no a hepatomegalia, en un porcentaje estadísticamente significativo. Este estudio tiene como objetivo valorar la incidencia de HGNA en la fructosemia, especialmente en pacientes que hayan sido tratados.
