Eficacia de una intervención educativa puntual vs continuada en la identificación y categorización de úlceras por presión y lesiones por humedad

Abstract

Introducción: Las lesiones por humedad se han relacionado directamente con las úlceras por presión (UPP) o se han considerado como tales hasta no hace mucho. Recientemente se han articulado los mecanismos que permiten diferenciar unas lesiones de otras, facilitando un correcto abordaje de las mismas. A pesar de ello, diversos estudios ponen de manifiesto la dificultad y los escasos conocimientos para la clasificación y categorización de dichas lesiones por parte de los profesionales de enfermería. Objetivos: Determinar la eficacia de dos actividades educativas sobre el nivel de conocimientos de las enfermeras en la identificación y categorización de las UPP de categoría I y II y lesiones por humedad. Valorar las diferencias en términos de conocimiento de las enfermeras entre una intervención puntual educativa y una actividad de formación continua para identificar y categorizar UPP y lesiones por humedad.
