ABSTRACT This Project has as of main objective take a first aproximation for using oral sources (survey technique) about the landfill of Meruelo. The landfill of Meruelo is ubicated in the town of San Bartolomé de Meruelo, in the municipality of Meruelo (Cantabria). It is an interesting topic for debating and to try studying his impacts and citizen opinions through oral sources. The objectives of this Project are focused in to work with the oral sources (with surveys) for analyzing of territory and their environmental and social-economical impacts that produce the landfill of Meruelo, with the final purpose to understand his operation and all that generates. Why do we work with oral sources in this project? Oral sources are documental sources that help us to create and to analyze about our work topic. The data are obtained doing whole kind of questions to some interest people of study area. In our case, to citizens of Meruelo and others near municipalities, with the final purpose to know opinions, ideas, characteristics or specific facts. We will work with the surveys. Survey technique searches to describe and explain the questions of some situation determinate about the landfill of Meruelo. Survey questions are divided in four main themes: general questions, environment impact, social-economical impact and overall rating. As a conclusion, this degree project is a kind of “experiment”, consequently we are going to use a survey technique about the landfill of Meruelo, for getting different results depending on the answers of people asked. So, we don´t know the exactly result of our project through of the survey.
