Abstract

ABSTRACT: This objective of this work is to deepen in the sector of carriage of goods by road (CNAE 4941) and see how it has affected the economic and financial crisis in Spain. To achieve this goal, previously making a description of this sector, which is the theoretical part of our work. After an introduction on the sector, the project will begin by analyzing how it affected the economic and financial crisis in Spain to the evolution of this sector from 2005 to 2014. For this study the main magnitudes as are the added value production, contribution to GDP, amount of transported goods, number of employees, average price, type of goods transported. Upon completion of the descriptive analysis, the next step will be to explain the methodology used to perform the economic and financial analysis at the national level, which exclude microenterprises. We analyze and study the economic and financial ratios of small, medium and large companies, as well as their evolution and how they affect the crisis in Spain. We will also see these ratios interval and percentage of firms there for each interval and each year during the years of study. Finally, and in view of the results obtained, we will draw our own conclusions, where it is reflected that the crisis greatly affects this sector but is recovering in recent years. Seeing the results, companies in this sector depend on external financing and the crisis produced these companies accumulate greater liquidity possibly suffering the greatest restrictions when external financing. The crisis also affects the economic profitability (ROA) and financial (ROE) by decreasing their values, but in the past two years begins to recover increase over the previous year.
