RESUMEN: En este trabajo se estudian las danzas tradicionales de Cantabria, declaradas recientemente Bien de interés Cultural. Se trata de danzas ejecutadas en la región en los últimos siglos, con acompañamiento musical, y en ocasiones del canto. Son escasos los trabajos realizados sobre las danzas de Cantabria; por ello resulta fundamental indagar en ellas, en su tradición e historia. La labor de documentación ha constituido un apartado importante en este trabajo, sin embargo, el trabajo de campo es el que realmente ha aportado datos relevantes e imágenes inéditas.
ABSTRACT; In this work traditional dances of Cantabria, recently declared a BIC are studied. These dances have been performed in this region during the last centuries always accompanied by music and sometimes singing. this reason it is essential investigate about it, its tradition and history. Documentation labor has become one of the section of this work, however, the fieldwork is what has really gave relevant data and unedited images.
