Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo principal de esta Tesis se basa en el estudio de los diferentes métodos y procedimientos utilizados para limpiar algas cultivadas sobre soporte pétreo. La determinación del método más idóneo para aplicar el tratamiento, así como el producto más inocuo para el operador que lo realiza. Para realizar este estudio se cultivaron algas de la variedad chlorophyta en probetas de piedra arenisca, se escogió dicha variedad de alga y de roca por ser ésta una de las más habituales en el Patrimonio Cultural de naturaleza pétrea. Los objetivos que se debían alcanzar eran conseguir unas condiciones idóneas de aplicación, validar el método experimental y el grado de efectividad del tratamiento, elaborar un patrón de referencia y verificar la durabilidad de la intervención realizada. Posteriormente los resultados se aplican sobre soporte pétreo de Bienes Culturales, que demuestran que las técnicas optimizadas son aplicables, efectivas, y perdurables en el tiempo.

ABSTRACT: The main objective of this thesis is based on the study of different methods and procedures used to clean algae grown on stone support. Determining the most suitable method for applying the treatment and safer for the operator who performs the product. For this study algae chlorophyta variety sandstone samples were grown, the variety of seaweed and rock was chosen as this is one of the most common in the Cultural Heritage of stony nature. The objectives to be achieved were getting optimal conditions of application, validate the experimental method and degree of treatment effectiveness, developing a benchmark and verify the durability of the intervention. The results are then applied to stone support of Cultural Assets, showing that optimized techniques are applicable, effective, and lasting in time.
