Tratamiento de la litiasis urinaria

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Introduction: Urolithiasis is a very common both urology and hospital emergency departments pathology, therefore, it is essential to know its management and the various therapeutic options that are available. Objective: The objective of this work is to present the available treatments in order to develop protocols for action taking by reference the activity in the HUMV. Methods: This was done by reviewing literature on therapeutic arsenal available and by attending to HUMV interventions in order to explain surgical procedures and add graphic content to work. Finally a case is exposed and proceeds to discuss according to the protocols set forth during the work. Results: In this case, the chosen treatment did not match with the protocol set forth, however, they are related. This is because the protocols are not rigid rules valid for all patients but guidelines in which one can be based on. Conclusion: The treatment of urinary stones should be individualized for each patient.
