Propuesta de sistema móvil de tratamiento de aguas de lastre para utilización en puerto

Abstract

La Organización Marítima Internacional (IMO por sus siglas en inglés), siguiendo las recomendaciones de Naciones Unidas, puso en marcha en 2004 la adopción y entrada en vigor del Convenio sobre tratamiento de aguas de lastre, conocida en Inglés como Ballast Water Management (BWM), desde entonces, son numerosos los esfuerzos que se han puesto en marcha a nivel internacional para tratar de encontrar sistemas que permitan el tratamiento de las aguas de lastre de los buques. Este TFG estudia en primer lugar el contenido de la nueva normativa de la IMO sobre tratamiento de aguas de lastre. Posteriormente, analiza las tecnologías de tratamiento de agua empleadas por los fabricantes de sistemas de tratamiento de agua de lastre de todo el mundo. Finalmente, y en base a las lecciones aprendidas durante los últimos años en relación al tratamiento de aguas de lastre, propone un sistema de tratamiento de agua de carácter móvil para uso en puerto. Se incluye asimismo un ejemplo práctico de posible utilización.
