Abstract

ANTECEDENTES: en los últimos años se ha incrementando el interés en la relación entre cognición social y diversos trastornos psiquiátricos. Este interés se ha enfocado en la funcionalidad del paciente poniendo énfasis en la percepción social de emociones y la empatía o la teoría de la mente como variables mediadoras. Con este propósito se han desarrollado diversos instrumentos con los que medir la cognición social como es el “Reading the Mind in the Eyes”. Diversos estudios evidencian la relación entre déficits en cognición social y nivel de funcionamiento en pacientes con trastornos psicóticos y afectivos. HIPÓTESIS Y OBJETIVOS: los pacientes psicóticos y afectivos que ingresen en planta de psiquiatría obtendrán menores puntuaciones en el Eyes Test al ingreso que al alta. Estas puntuaciones estarán relacionadas con las puntuaciones obtenidas en las escalas clínicas y con el nivel de funcionamiento global. No se hipotetizan diferencias de género en las puntuaciones. Los objetivos son: 1) comparación y análisis de la respuesta al Eyes Test de la muestra de pacientes al ingreso y al alta, 2) análisis de la correlación entre Eyes Test y Escalas Clínicas y 3) análisis de diferencias de género en las puntuaciones del Eyes Test.
