El mercado de trabajo

Abstract

ABSTRACT: To analyse the labour market in Spain in the last thirteen years we must study the growing of the population and its causes, demography, membership to the social security system, migratory flows (both inmigration and emigration) non- active population and the different policies applied to different economical situations. With the obtaining figures we can study two different periodos: the first one from 2001 to 2008 represented by an important economic growth which meant a growing on investmesnts, these investments created a great number of jobs which needed a lot of employees, so inmigrant workforce was recruited. The growth was fast and uncontrolled because neither the government nor the families took into account a different situation for the future and most of them reinvested in building construction industry. In 2008 the economy changed and private investment was cut down, an unbearable situation was created, not only for the state but also for the families who were unable to maintain the standard of living which had been stablished. The situation led to an economical cycle with less investment, less consumption, less income and more debts. It gave way to a Bank crisis which increased social problems. With the families in an extreme situation, a state in debt and a crisis environment, the Government adopted restriction policies.
