Terapia renal sustitutiva

Abstract

This work is a reflection on nursing care to patients that are subsidiaries of renal replacement therapy, highlighting the needs of these patients. Chronic renal failure is a progressive and irreversible deterioration of kidney function, so patients should undergo renal replacement therapy by hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or kidney transplantation, the three treatments of choice for patients with renal dysfunction. There is also a conservative treatment or as an alternative to such therapies. Advances in therapy have occurred over the years have been considerable, because it has improved the quality of life of these patients. It is necessary to highlight the responsibility of nurses in the renal patient care and how important are their roles in this type of therapy.
