Certificaciones de sistemas de gestión

Abstract

ABSTRACT: For a company or organization, to get a certificate in any of its fields of application, is a competitive advantage in the face of the competition rivals, having the possibility to enter in more globalized new markets and more likely to expand. Besides this advantage, that is so important these days, a certificate will also provide the company benefits as a significant cost savings, added value to their clients, greater internal communication and participation of all its team. Currently we are in a so globalized market, that every company needs to stand out its products and services facing the competition rivals so as the costumers notice them more attractive or new. This is where the role of the certifying entity begins. This independent third party will be responsible for giving approval. The Certification expresses that the organization, product, process or services fulfill the requirements defined in the standards or technical specifications. In this paper, we will deal with the topic of Management System Certifications, focusing, in a general way, on the certifications that we can find nowadays in the business world and analyzing different aspects of them, like what is a certificate and its types, concept and standardization bodies, phases or stages of the process, benefits for the company, or the most common barriers that may be found during its development To carry out the study, first of all, we are going to develop the more technical issues which will introduce us to the topic, and it will end with the implementation of a practical case in a real company, such as the ISO 14001 Certification in Solvay Torrelavega Co., making the paper easier to understand, looking at it from a more concrete and tangible perspective
