Abstract

ABSTRACT: In order to assist in the performance of Minor Surgery, a new model of High Resolution assistance is built inside the hospital, run by General Practicioners. This activity is described, then analyzed and compared with the existing activities in Community Health Centers and with the literature regarding the circuit followed by patients, diagnostic concordance, waiting times, patient satisfaction, appearance of complications, complexity of interventions, continuity and sustainability of the activity and expense recognition. As conclusion, the new care model is safe por patients, saves significant economic costs, also with a significant reduction un waiting times and great acceptance among patients. It represents an approach between primary and specialized care, increasing the synergies between the two with new administrative circuits, reducing the pressure of the hospital's healthcare network and achieving a higher level of intervention complexity than in the Community Health Centers.
