RESUMEN.Con la aparición de un nuevo paradigma de civilización -la del conocimiento- una gran crisis estructural sacude todos los ámbitos, quedan obsoletos los antiguos modelos explicativos del funcionamiento del mundo socioeconómico y la mayoría de las organizaciones exhibe una más que significativa incapacidad directiva para sobrevivir en el nuevo contexto. Ello lleva a revisar las bases de dicha supervivencia organizacional, así como los rasgos más significativos del nuevo gestor de la turbulencia. La reflexión al efecto, se plantea en tres bloques diferenciales. En el primero de ellos, se abordan la idea de visión-misión compartida, el significado atribuido al capital humano, la importancia del diseño organizacional y la evolución y rasgos del liderazgo. En el segundo, los requisitos mínimos y las coordenadas de funcionamiento básicas del líder para lograr corresponsabilidad, integración y movilización en el capital humano. Finalmente, el tercero aporta una valoración crítica sobre ese gestor de turbulencia o conductor-integrador-impulsor-servidor de personas que es el nuevo líder.
ABSTRACT. With the appearance of a new model of society (the society of knowledge), all areas have suffered a crisis of structure, making the old models for explaining the operating of the socio-economic world obsolete. Moreover, most organisations have demonstrate a certain lack of organisational capacity for surviving in this new context. This has led to a revision of the foundations of this organisational capacity, and of the main features of the new form of management of this continuous change. This paper addresses this problem in three blocks. Firstly, the idea of the shared mission-vision, the meaning attributed to human capital, the importance of the organisational design and the evolution and features of leadership are outlined. Secondly, the minimum requirements and basic operating coordenates needed for the leader to achieve coresponsibility, integration and mobilisation of the human capital are described. Finally, a critical assessment is made of this management of the changing situation or the leader-integrator, driver, server which is the new leader.
