Abstract

In my Final Degree Project in Law, my objective is to analyze the schools of thought that underlie Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of the rights and well-being of animals. My research immerses itself in the philosophical currents that have outlined the legal and moral treatment given to animals throughout history, with the intention of proposing a new classification that can be applied to recent and future legislation, thus allowing us to discern. its philosophical foundation. Likewise, it will carry out an examination of the impact of this legislation on today's society, exploring the challenges and debates inherent to its implementation. In essence, the objective lies in shedding light on this constantly evolving line of law that is Animal Law.
