Mujer y mercado de trabajo

Woman and labour market
Authors: Pérez Mateo, Macarena;

Mujer y mercado de trabajo

Abstract

This present study addresses the issue of gender inequality in the Spanish labor market. Through a comprehensive analysis, various fundamental aspects contributing to the persistence of disparities between men and women are explored. The gender pay gap is examined in detail, revealing the challenges that women continue to experience in terms of compensation. Additionally, a crucial part of the study focuses on policies affecting women's status in the labor market. Measures promoting gender equality, female employment, work-life balance, and shared responsibilities are reviewed and evaluated, along with those aimed at combating discrimination and workplace violence. Data analysis on labor force participation, the gender pay gap, work-life balance, and women's presence in the business world highlights the persistence of significant inequalities. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of implementing effective policies and coordinated strategies to achieve greater gender equity in the Spanish labor market. It aims to raise awareness about the necessity of creating an inclusive and fair work environment, where all individuals, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities to develop and contribute to the progress and well-being of society as a whole
