Abstract

El despoblamiento rural en Cantabria se está volviendo un problema que pone en peligro la riqueza ecológica y cultural de la región. Este trabajo consta de ejecutar de manera sistemática una simulación basada en gemelos digitales del despoblamiento en Cantabria. Se desarrolla un sistema de minización para calibrar el modelo, ajustando el comportamiento del modelo a la serie histórica de los municipios de la comarca Campoo - Los Valles. Para ello, se hace uso del algoritmo Particle Swarm Optimization, que simula a las abejas en su búsqueda de polen. Este modelo se vuelve en una herramienta muy valiosa, que puesta en manos de técnicos del gobierno cántabro, permite la simulación de impactos de las diferentes propuestas que vayan a llevar adelante.

The effect of depopulation in rural areas of Cantabria is endangering the cultural and ecological wealth of the region. This work aims at executing a simulation of this phenomenon using digital twins. In particular, a system to calibrate the free parameters of the model has been devised, fitting the behavior of the model to the time evolution of the municipalities of the region of Campoo-Los Valles. For this purpose, the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is used, which simulates bees in their search for pollen. This model is a valuable tool that could help the policy makers of the government of Cantabria to simulate the impact of the policies they develop.
