Análisis detallado de un accidente laboral grave

Abstract

Workplace safety and accident prevention are fundamental aspects to ensure the health and well-being of employees. In this context, the present Bachelor's Thesis (BT) focuses on a case of a severe workplace accident that, despite its evident physical consequences, reveals a less visible yet equally significant dimension: the influence of psychosocial factors in the genesis of the accident. This study comprehensively analyzes a workplace accident that resulted in a worker being trapped in an industrial machine, leading to the subsequent amputation of a phalanx. While the physical circumstances of the incident serve as a crucial starting point to understand its origin, it has been discovered that psychosocial factors played a pivotal role in its development. The primary objective of this BT is to delve into how psychosocial factors can influence workplace safety and contribute to the occurrence of serious accidents. Through an exhaustive analysis of the case in question, the aim is to comprehend how the interaction between psychosocial agents and physical factors can culminate in a situation of occupational risk. The relevance of this study lies in its ability to shed light on an underestimated aspect of workplace safety and provide recommendations for accident prevention that consider both physical and psychosocial factors. By gaining a better understanding of how these factors interact, companies and organizations can implement more effective and holistic strategies to safeguard the integrity of their workers and promote a secure and healthy work environment.
