Combustion is involved in various physical phenomena such as turbulence, as well as different chemical reactions. In this study, a system of partial differential equations is presented to model this phenomenon. This system has been previously introduced by Andrew Majda in his article titled “A qualitative model for dynamic combustion”, from which this study begins. In this article, the existence and local uniqueness of classical solutions in Sobolev spaces are demonstrated, which are subsequently proven to exist globally and be unique. Furthermore, the investigation of a conserved quantity that the system presents is appreciated, along with a numerical simulation to explore the behavior of the previously studied solution.
