Regularizacion por circunstancias excepcionales: el arraigo

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this paper we are going to analyse immigration in Spain, a country that has historically been a country of emigrants, but which in recent decades, from 1990 to the present, has become a receiver of immigrants from all over the world. And to do so, it has had to create legal and regulatory mechanisms to deal with the new demographic situation that has arisen. In the following pages, we will discuss how these foreign citizens can regularise their situation in Spain, making use of the current regulations on immigration. This work focuses on the residence permit for exceptional circumstances such as "arraigo", a figure regulated in the LO 4/2000 and developed by the RD 557/2011.
