RESUMEN: La pandemia ha significado un antes y un después en todos los sentidos. El sector turístico ha sido de los más afectados, pero, aun así, como se puede apreciar a lo largo de este trabajo, centrándonos en el subsector del turismo de salud y bienestar y sobre todo los balnearios, se ha recuperado con creces y ha sabido sobrellevar cualquier situación de crisis incluso llegando a posicionarse como una nueva tendencia. A través de la investigación y realización de encuestas realizadas a profesionales del sector turístico se muestra el impacto que ha tenido la pandemia en el turismo y en la mentalidad de las personas a la hora de viajar, el cambio de valores y el auge que experimenta el turismo de salud y bienestar. Dicho cambio ha sido fruto de la situación de crisis sanitaria y el aumento de la preocupación personal por la salud física y mental. Al final del presente trabajo, se realiza una propuesta de un servicio complementario al turismo de salud y bienestar en Cantabria, en concreto en el Gran Hotel Balneario de Puente Viesgo (instalaciones y alrededores), con tratamientos y técnicas nuevas del método Wim Hof.

ABSTRACT: The pandemic has meant a before and after in all senses. The tourism sector has been one of the most affected, but, even so, as it can be observed throughout this work, focusing on the sub-sector of health and wellness tourism and especially health resorts, it has more than recovered and has been able to overcome any crisis and has even positioned itself as a new trend. Through research and surveys carried out among professionals in the tourism sector, the impact that the pandemic has had on tourism and on people's mentality about travelling, the change in values and the increase in health and wellness tourism. This change has been the result of the health crisis and the increase in personal concern for physical and mental health. At the end of this work, a proposal is made for a complementary service to health and wellness tourism in Cantabria, specifically in the “Gran Hotel Balneario de Puente Viesgo” (facilities and surroundings), with new treatments and techniques of the Wim Hof method.
