ABSTRACT : Introduction: scaphoid fracture is the most common of the carpus. A correct diagnosis and treatment prevents the appearance of serious complications. The percutaneous osteosynthesis is currently the main surgical treatment. Objective: to analyse the epidemiology, the radiological results and the complications of the scaphoid fractures which were treated using a percutaneous technique by the hand during the last 10 years. Material and methods: using a retrospective database of 72 patients we analysed demographic data, the time until the surgery, the time of clinical follow-up, the force of the impact, the technique and screw used, the time with splint in the wrist and complications. A radiological study was done in order to evaluate the type of fracture, displacement, the correct fixation and the consolidation of the fracture. Statistical study. Results: pacients showed an average age of 32,40 years old. 64 (88,89%) were men. The most common fracture was Herbert classification B2 (51,39%). 95,77% of the fractures consolidated. It was observed a 8,34% of complications (4,17% pseudoarthrosis) but there was not any significant relationship between complications and the demographic data. It was found a statistically significant association between the fracture type and the method of surgery. Conclusion: The percutaneous treatment had excellent radiographic results, with a few number of complications, similar to the scientific literature.
