Abstract

One of its uses is in healthcare, particularly in health education, and within this, in relation to women’s health, there are different options available such as telemedicine, web pages, cellphone applications, social media sites, online support groups or artificial intelligence. Through this paper, several resources were found in this area, with highlight on the presences of official entities, regional and national associations, and different web sites, cellphone applications and social media profiles of healthcare professionals. All of which are focused on sharing accurate information related to women’s health. On the contrary, other type of tools like video chat, support groups and artificial intelligence were rarely used. In conclusion, ICT are tools with an increasing usage by the public and healthcare professionals, even if some of them are just starting to be used. Therefore, a correct digital literacy to both professionals and users is essential.
