RESUMEN: El turismo de salud ha evolucionado a lo largo de los años, pasando de ser una actividad única de la clase adinerada, a ser una actividad relativamente común. Se divide en turismo de bienestar y en turismo médico, cada uno con diferentes tratamientos. Gracias al sistema sanitario de cada país y a los servicios que ofrecen, se ha convertido en una de las actividades más demandadas y que más ingresos generan dentro del turismo, ya que la estacionalidad no es un inconveniente para ello. Los pacientes viajan motivados por diferentes factores, creándose distintos perfiles. Estos pacientes son tanto nacionales como internacionales, destacando estos últimos por buscar tratamientos en destinos como: Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Turquía, Tailandia, Cuba, India y Colombia, donde el precio es más bajo. Se expondrán algunos de los riesgos que esto conlleva. España es una gran potencia turística y tiene uno de los mejores sistemas sanitarios, por lo que, juntando estos dos servicios, hace que el país se convierta en uno de los principales destinos. Por ello, se presentarán y analizarán los resultados obtenidos de una encuesta realizada a habitantes del país para saber el conocimiento y la visión general del turismo de salud.

ABSTRACT: Health tourism has progressed over the years, from being a unique activity of the upper class, to be a relatively common activity. It is divided into wellness tourism and medical tourism, each one with different treatments. Thanks to the health system of each country and the services they offer, health tourism has become one of the most demanded activities and the one that generates the most income within tourism , since seasonality is not a problema for it. Patients travel motivated by different factors, creating different profiles. These patients are national as well as international, the latter standing out for looking for treatments in destinatios such as: United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Thailand, Cuba, India and Colombia, where the price is lower than in the rest of the countries. Some of the risks that this involves are going to be exposed. Spain is a great tourist power and it has one of the best health systems, so, the joining together of these services makes the country become one of the main destinations. Therefore, the results obtained from the survey of the country´s inhabitants Will be presented and analyzed to find out the knowledge and general visión of health tourism.
