Abstract

ABSTRACT: The analysis of the Attachment Theory makes possible to explain the nature of human relations, as well as the influence that the affective bonds built during childhood have on the formation of the emotional adult. The presence of an attachment figure who is sensitive to the physical and affective needs of the minor throughout his development, allows him to set the capacity of emotional regulation, to consolidate his own identity and to have a good concept of himself and of others, so he is able to establish satisfactory interpersonal relationships. On the other hand, adults who maintained an insecure pattern of attachment during childhood may develop emotional disorders, which has a negative influence on the way they establish their relationships with others. The impact of the attachment during childhood on the development of the emotional adult makes essential for nursing professionals to design interventions aimed at the promotion of bonding, and the prevention of affective disorders, behavioural and sociability disorders in the population.
