Inteligencia emocional: aplicación laboral

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Nowadays, rational and emotional aspects are connected and they complement each other. My personal and working experience have made me feel interested in learning more about a topic which is a current issue is a different fields and which gives name to this work: “Emotional intelligence”. The objectives of this project include: learning about its origins and development and its skills such as self-control, enthusiasm and empathy. I also find important to study the benefits of its promotion and learning throughout different methods during our life, especially during childhood, the time when the brain plasticity is bigger. The school may be the best place to reinforce the area of socialization that the family is not able to achieve. There are two models of EI: the ability model and the mixed model, with their own methods of measurement and assessment. Considering the work environment, EI is considered a necessary tool to increase the levels of productivity and decrease the burnout levels. There are still few companies with emotional self-knowledge. The competences of organizations are the cognitive abilities, technical specialization and a good management of human resources. The leader will need the EI as an the essential quality inside the company, and he/she must vary modify the different kinds of leadership according to each situation, considering EI and its learning and promotion throughout the development of the following aspects by developing self-conscience, self-management, motivation, empathy and social ability.
