Regional public debt models
Authors: Martínez Garnica, Paula;

Modelos de endeudamiento público regional

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this assignment, a brief analysis is carried out on the indebtedness models. Public debt and the impact it has on the economy as a whole are currently of great importance both in Spain and in the rest of the world. For this reason, the determinants that affect the variation of public debt, at national and European level, are analyzed at work. The objective of the study is to deepen the knowledge of the public debt market, analyzing the most relevant aspects that characterize its operation. The essay is divided into four parts. In the first of the parts a descriptive analysis of the public debt is carried out, including the concept of public debt and the forms of public debt issuance. In the second part, a brief analysis is made of the evolution of public debt in Europe, highlighting the countries with the highest and lowest percentage of debt with respect to GDP. The third part of the work focuses on analyzing the evolution of public debt at the national level, mentioning the debt conditions of Spain, the general evolution of debt, and the evolution of public debt by autonomous communities. The last part of the trial is focused on the relationship of public debt to sustainability, analyzing in a conventional way the sustainability of public debt. The most practical part of the essay is that of the evolution, both at national and European level, of the public debt with respect to the gross domestic product, in which data prior to the start of the economic crisis have been collected until now to make a comparison of both periods and to analyze the importance of the situation of a country.
