ABSTRACT: In the course of this work is developed a study on the list that is published annually uncovering the identities of the great defaulters of the Public Treasury. This measure, which is echoed every year by all State media, is an instrument which will try to combat the problem of tax fraud in which Spain finds itself, but which involves a great deal of controversy, as it includes economic data of taxpayers who are protected by constitutionally recognized rights. That is why this new tool must be thoroughly analysed in order to determine whether it is lawfully adjusted or, on the contrary, should be removed from our legal system.
