RESUMEN: A continuación, se presentará un análisis del transporte de pasajeros por carretera en España durante los últimos años, teniendo en cuenta los principales medios utilizados para el movimiento de pasajeros, su volumen a escala nacional, cuota de mercado e impacto económico de las principales empresas que componen el sector. El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar el impacto de un sector tan común entre las personas como es el del transporte, mostrando la incidencia que tiene éste sobre el desarrollo de la sociedad, plasmando el impacto de este sector en España con las cifras correspondientes al volumen de pasajeros y facturación durante los últimos años, así como las problemáticas generadas por la competencia y las restricciones. Para el desarrollo de este trabajo se han consultado varias fuentes relacionadas con este sector, como el Ministerio de Fomento o el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, gracias a los cuales se han aportado gran parte de los datos utilizados para el análisis del transporte de pasajeros por carretera. Además de esto, ha sido necesaria la consulta de varios artículos de prensa, columnas de opinión y sitios web de diferentes empresas pertenecientes al sector del transporte. Este análisis concluye en que el sector del transporte de pasajeros por carretera se encuentra en cabeza en la comparativa con otros sectores dentro del transporte, como el aéreo, ferrocarril o marítimo, produciéndose un mayor número de desplazamientos anuales mediante autobús frente a cualquier otro medio.

ABSTRACT: Below, an analysis of passenger’s transport by road in Spain during the last years will be presented, taking into account the main means used for the movement of passengers, its volume at national level, market share and economic impact of the main companies that they make up the sector. The purpose of this dissertation is to show the impact of a sector as common among people as is the transport, showing the impact that it has on the development of society, reflecting the impact of this sector in Spain with the figures for the volume of passengers and billing during the last years, as well as the problems generated by competition and restrictions. For the development of this work, several sources related to this sector have been consulted, such as the Ministry of Public Works or the National Institute of Statistics, thanks to which a large part of the data used for the analysis of passenger transport by road have been contributed. . In addition to this, it has been necessary to consult several press articles, opinion columns and websites of different companies belonging to the transport sector. This analysis concludes that the passenger transport sector by road is in the lead in comparison with other sectors within the transport, such as air, rail or maritime, producing a greater number of annual trips by bus compared to any other means.
