Cannabis y enfermedad mental

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The cannabis is a plant which posseses several utilities. However, currently it’s known because of its use as a recreational drug (psicoactive substance). The easiness of its obtention and the increased concentration of psicoactive substances due to the improvements in cultivation techniques, has caused a progressive growth of the mental issues incidence, specially among those who do a high-dose chronical use. Thus, the objetives of this monography are to describe from multiple points of view (pharmacologic, phisiologic, statistical) the influence of cannabis on the normal function of consumer’s organism, focusing on the effects on mental health, concretally on the most statistically related mental disorders with the previously described pattern of use. The results found in the multiple consulted sources show unequivocally a relation between cannabis and mental disorders, but they don’t agree on how this relation has place or on the roll that substances consumption plays (ingravescent, inductor…).
