Consumo de alcohol en el adolescente

Consumo de alcohol en el adolescente

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Currently the pattern of alcohol consumption in adolescents is very determined, since it is based on a high consumption of alcohol in a short period of time. This population begins to have greater independence from the parents and lack of control of the them, which leads to uncontrolled consumption of alcohol, as well as a low perception of risk in the consumption thereof, due to the lack of education in this subject. Several studies report the consequences of the consumption and abuse of this substance in all areas of the individual, although these studies have been conducted in different populations, there are similarities in analyzing the problems caused by alcohol consumption and its impact on the student, at work, in the family, in social relationships, in accidents, in the sexual and psychological state of the person. The associations between alcohol abuse with increased morbidity, violence, family problems, school dropouts and accidents have been reported in different populations. In this work we seek to determine the effects of alcohol in adolescents from 10 to 19 years of age, how it acts in the body, its risk factors, associated problems and how, this public health problem, with promotion and prevention can reduce the number of individuals who consume it.
