RESUMEN: Este trabajo recoge una breve exposición de los postulados más significativos de la Teoría del Federalismo Fiscal, como marco teórico que contempla los problemas derivados de la existencia de múltiples niveles territoriales de decisión con competencias económicas. Asimismo, se describen los elementos más relevantes de los sistemas de financiación regional en países representativos del federalismo fiscal como Canadá y Alemania y se compara con el modelo de financiación de las Comunidades Autónomas de España, vigente desde el año 2009.
ABSTRACT: This project includes a brief presentation of the most important postulates of the Theory of the Tax Federalism, as a theoretical framework which contemplates the problems derived from the existence of multiple territorial decision-making with economic competence levels. It also describes the most relevant elements of systems of regional funding in representative countries of fiscal federalism such as Germany and Canada and it is compared with the funding model of the Autonomous Communities of Spain, in force since 2009.
