RESUMEN: Las actividades deportivas cada vez tienen una mayor repercusión en la economía nacional, llegando a generar anualmente 24.000 millones de euros, lo que supone el 2,4% de la riqueza del país. En el caso del karate se trata de una actividad deportiva con un total de 1.010 practicantes en la comunidad y un total de 30 clubes, siendo con ello un 1,48% del total de licencias de todos los deportes practicados. Por ello, debido al peso de este deporte en la sociedad hemos empleado todas las herramientas del marketing, utilizando un tratamiento estadístico para su posterior análisis. Se ha realizado una investigación de mercado relacionada con el propio deporte, consistiendo en poder determinar las opiniones de la población sobre el karate, el perfil de sus practicantes y las características de los potenciales interesados en su práctica.

ABSTRACT: Sports activities increasingly have a greater impact on the national economy, reaching annually generate 24,000 million euros, representing 2.4% of the country's wealth. In the case of karate it is a sport with a total of 1,010 practitioners in the community and a total of 30 clubs, thereby being 1.48% of total licenses of all popular sports. Therefore, due to the weight of this sport in society we have used all the tools of marketing, using a statistical treatment for further analysis. There has been a market research related to the sport itself, consisting able to ascertain the views of the population on karate, the profile of its practitioners and the characteristics of potential stakeholders in their practice.
