The work carried out allowed us to determine the effectiveness of the revocation of the mandate, as a mechanism of citizen participation in Colombia, for which the consecration of the mechanisms of citizen participation in Colombia is explained; The normative consecration of the figure of the revocation of the mandate in Colombia is analyzed, as a mechanism of citizen participation; The development and application of the figure of revocation of the mandate in countries such as the United States, Switzerland, Costa Rica and Argentina is examined; The jurisprudential evolution of the revocation of the mandate in Colombia in the period 2015-2019 is specified; and finally, the cases of revocation of mandate that have developed in Colombia in the years 2015 to 2019 are identified.

El trabajo realizado permitió determinar la eficacia de la revocatoria del mandato, como mecanismo de participación ciudadana en Colombia, para lo que se explica la consagración de los mecanismos de participación ciudadana en Colombia; se analiza la consagración normativa de la figura de la revocatoria del mandato en Colombia, como mecanismo de participación ciudadana; se examina el desarrollo y aplicación de la figura de la revocatoria del mandato en países como Estados Unidos, Suiza, Costa Rica y Argentina; se específica la evolución jurisprudencial de la revocatoria del mandato en Colombia en el período 2015-2019; y finalmente, se identifican los casos de revocatoria de mandato que se han desarrollado en Colombia en los años 2015 al 2019.
