
The author reviews literature data on the incidence, etiology and morphological diagnosis of chronic endometritis, analyses information on differences in cell composition of the endometrium in normal conditions and in chronic inflammation, focuses on alterations in systemic and local immunological parameters in chronic inflammation and chronic endometritis, in particular.
