Abstract

Considering the tax incentives provided by the local government, and as a means of improving the supply chain, the project for transforming used vegetable oil into biodiesel is identified as a valuable opportunity. Compared to other methods, this process is cost saving, requires a minor investment and it's less time consuming. The proposed business model is divided in three stages: the first, is to develop a logistic scheme for the collection of used oil; the second is related to the preparation of this input and it's process of transformation into biodiesel. Finally, the third phase is the distribution logistics and delivery to the end users.
